The UH-60 Fuel System and External Stores Support System (ESSS) Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) project encompasses the tasks required to analyze, design, develop, test, and deliver UH-60 Fuel System IMI training materials in support of the maintenance training curricula at the United States Army Aviation Logistics School (USAALS) at Fort Eustis, VA. The intended audience for the IMI is U.S. Army maintainers of the UH-60 helicopter with the enlisted MOS 15T10. The IMI is part of the overall UH-60 training system, including training devices that provides an environment for training and evaluating utility helicopter repair personnel in fault isolation and maintenance of the UH-60. The IMI provides a baseline for maintainers of the Army Models UH-60A, UH-60L, UH-60M, EH-60A, UN-60Q, and HH-60L Helicopters.
The UH-60 Fuel System IMI consists of nine units, containing 29 lessons, divided into distinct 41 lesson topics, and includes four simulations and four practical exercises. Learning Objectives address the following types of learning: fact, rule, procedure, and problem solving.
The IMI lessons fall into the following categories:
- Principles of Operation
- Data and Description
- Maintenance Procedures
- On Aircraft Inspections
- Periodic / Special Inspections
- Practical Exercises
The IMI includes both 2D and 3D graphics, Flash animations and simulations and satisfies the requirements of Level III IMI as described in TRADOC Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) TR 350-70 and supporting pamphlets.
